Diglis Island Open Morning
Thursday 17th August
9.00 am – 12.00 pm
No need to book.
As part of the Worcester Festival, we will be holding a special open morning. Step onto this secret island in the Severn to explore the renovated Victorian lock gate workshop. Learn about the island’s history and discover the role it plays today in the conservation of rare fish in the river! Diglis Island Guides will be on hand to tell you about the history of the island or you are welcome to take a self-guided tour.
This is a drop-in event. No ticket required however, due to limited capacity on the island, visitors may experience a short wait to enter the island.
Island closes at 12:00 pm. Last admission 11:30 am.
*Please note this open morning is for the island only*
Accessibility: Diglis Island is accessed via ramps onto two narrow lock walkways. These are suitable for some wheelchairs and pushchairs, although may not be accessible for larger vehicles (such as mobility scooters). A narrow wheelchair will be available to anybody who wishes to use this to cross the lock gates. Please contact [email protected] if you have any questions or would like to discuss your accessibility needs. Accessible toilets are available for visitor use
