Who can I contact about Unlocking the Severn?

Unlocking the Severn is now complete. The project was delivered by Canal and River Trust, Severn Rivers Trust, Environment Agency and Natural England. Maintenance of Diglis Island and the fish passes is the responsibility of Canal & River Trust, as well as the visitor experience programme at Diglis Island & Diglis Fish Pass.

How do I book a visit?

We are pleased to offer visits to Diglis Island and fish pass, thanks to the support of our volunteer Diglis Island Guides. Our visitor season is between March and October and dates are displayed on our Events page. The best time to visit is during the spring migration season (April-early June). The best time to spot shad in our underwater viewing window is May.

Please note, we run visits based on our volunteers’ availability. The primary purpose of Diglis Fish Pass is to provide safe passage for fish.
