‘Glimmer’ was a community arts project to celebrate World Fish Migration Day on October 24th 2020.

Celebrating the Severn and World Fish Migration Day!

Glimmer is a community arts project that explores our connection to the River Severn and its wildlife. During 2020, Glimmer worked with communities and groups along the River Severn to produce decorative scales and collect audio and visual recordings that reflect people’s own experiences and thoughts about the river and the life within it.

Where can I see Glimmer?

The final sculpture and film were unveiled at the National Waterways Museum, Gloucester on 24 October 2020 to celebrate World Fish Migration Day. Keep an eye on our Events page and social media channels for updates on when and where you can see Glimmer in person. You can view the ‘Voices of the Severn’ film below.

A big thankyou to everyone who sent in handmade scales and contributed their perspectives of the River Severn to the film!
