Glimmer is a community arts project to celebrate World Fish Migration Day on October 24th.

Help us celebrate World Fish Migration Day!

Over the last few months, Glimmer has been working with communities and groups along the River Severn to produce scales and collect audio and visual recordings. These creations will come together in a public display to celebrate our connection to the river and its wildlife, which will be unveiled on October 24th – World Fish Migration Day.

How can you get involved?

There are two ways that you can get involved:

1. Make a scale. Download the template below and get creative, making a scale that represents your thoughts and feelings about the river. For inspiration and tips on how to use materials you already have at home, visit the Glimmer Facebook page or watch the instructional videos – scroll down below the video for links to inspire you.

2. Add your voice. We are collecting your memories and reflections about the beautiful River Severn that will contribute to the sculpture and film installation via images, text and audio. We’d love to hear your stories, so please get in touch, email: [email protected]

Don’t forget to follow the Glimmer Facebook page for updates on where to send your finished scales and for information about the unveiling event on October 24th. We look forward to seeing you there!
